Our position as God's beloved is secure. We can share everything with Him - our joy, our tears, our hopes, our dreams, our insecurities, our anger, our fears - we even get to have moments when we shake our tiny, all-too-human fists and complain about His parenting, all in the absolute confidence that He will never leave us or forsake us or stop loving us.

Our knowledge and conversations with God shape our inward and outward lives affecting our hearts and our spiritual formation. God moves in our inner lives through the Holy Spirit and we are transformed. As we realize how much we are beloved by God our outward lives begin to change. We seek to find God's image in our neighbors, friends, and coworkers. We see God's image in strangers and people with whom we have significant differences.

What was your last conversation?
I hope it was a conversation about God, an invitation to deepen your relationship with Him and with others.

I hope it allowed you to grow in your knowledge of Him and experience Him more vividly in your life.

I hope it lessened your struggles with faith...
shifted your thinking on certain lifelong held ideas...
and was generous with differing approaches to living a life of faith.

The more we enter into relationships that connect us to Jesus the more we can bear spiritual fruit.

How does your faith show you how to live? Even though some days it truly feels like a jungle out there.

If what I think I know about God lines up with what I read in Scripture and the core beliefs of the Christian faith...

If what I claim about my faith compels me to live righteously...

If my heart and my emotions are in tune with God....

Then Jesus is at the center of my life and honestly, my life should be more gracious and loving than it currently is in spite of and more importantly because the world around me is such a jungle. The world needs a little more grace and love.
