Had a lot of fun with some of the folks from The Cleveland Flea at this Sunday Market with Great Lake Outfitters . The morning was looking pretty ugly, but the sun cleared up and we were golden for the rest of the day. I hope all you who showed up are going to be at the Cleveland Ingenuity Fest this Friday to Sunday!

19th Century American Optical Archer Barber Chair

Rusty Gold Fact:

Probably one of the most interesting barber styled chairs I've come across is this Paragon barber chair made by the Archer Company. This was actually one of the first chairs to patent the have ability to adjust its height in 1878 and Theodore Koch was quick to incorporate this new technology into the American iconic barber chair; the Koken.

To find something that predates the Koken chairs is amazing let alone in perfect working condition after a 100 years. Better yet the paint has remained intact to show the beautiful faux wood finish on the metal frame. To think someone hand painted this to look like a wooden chair is amazing.
