Hello! It has been a while since my last update.

I had a fun time with a reaction to new meds. This caused a HORRIBLE myositis flare about 3 weeks ago and my knee is still feeling the impact from that.

I have been in PT for the muscle weakness associated with this disease. That has been going well and also helping with the myositis.

I have successfully gone from 80 mg of prednisone down to 10 mg! If all goes well, I will take my last dose tomorrow and then be off prednisone!

The taper down of prednisone has cause my myositis to flare up but I feel like pushing through the taper is worth it to get off the prednisone.

Coming off the prednisone has also created a new level of fatigue so I have been overly tired lately.

I have a followup with the rhumatologist on the 18th and will be back to let you know how things are after that.

I am grateful for small progress but am (IM)patiently waiting for the rest of my body to catch up lol I still have a way to go, but have learned to listen to my body and rest (and even give extra rest) when it needs it.
