Merry Christmas from Backcountry Outpost.

Today, we celebrate the greatest gift ever given—Jesus Christ, born to bring hope, peace, and salvation into the world. In the quiet of a snowy trail, the stillness of a river bend, or the early morning light breaking over the mountains, we are reminded of God’s handiwork and His faithfulness. The outdoors has a way of pointing us back to Him—showing us His patience, His beauty, and His provision in ways words alone cannot capture.

This season, we give thanks for the blessings of family, friends, and community. We are grateful for each of you who make up our BCO family, for the trust you place in us, and for the chance to share in the adventures that this backcountry life offers. May your day be filled with the warmth of loved ones, the joy of His creation, and the hope that Christ’s birth brings to every corner of our lives.

We’re taking a short break and will be closed from December 25th through January 1st.

If you have an urgent UPS drop-off, give us a call at 878-4428 and leave a message. We’ll be around to help facilitate those as needed.

Normal UPS pickups resume on January 2.

Heads up! BCO will be officially off the grid from Nov 26–30 so we can celebrate America’s favorite eating sport. We’ll be back on Monday the 30th, running on leftovers and the kind of choices that make great stories.

🚚 UPS Drop-offs/Pickups in Meeker:
No brown truck magic while we’re closed. BCO UPS drop-offs and deliveries will pause during the break and resume on the 1st — even UPS needs a moment for stuffing and pie.

From all of us at Backcountry Outpost in Meeker, we hope you enjoy a Thanksgiving full of good food, adventures, and maybe a little time to dream about fly fishing or picking out your new suppressor — we’ll see you soon!

We're going to be open today starting at Noon to resume our UPS drop offs in case anyone needs to get anything out.

We are a UPS Access point, so if any of the fire crew needs anything delivered to Meeker, use us as the drop off point and we will be here to accept it.

We want to express our gratitude for all the efforts made so far to contain both fires and protect our communities.

Fireworks are fun and all… but have you ever watched a bruiser brown ghost up from the depths and crush a size 18 dry in dead silence—or sent Freedom Seeds downrange with the kind of precision that’d make George Washington nod in approval?

Yeah. That’s our kind of Independence Day.

No crowds. No chaos. Just stealthy casts, quiet bangs, and freedom echoing through the hills (well, sort of echoing — suppressors do their job).

Happy 4th from Backcountry Outpost — where we prefer our liberty wild, well-armed, and waist-deep in cold water.
