Looking for a way to give back to the places we all hunt and fish?
Here's a great opportunity. Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is hosting a fence removal project near Meeker on August 1-2 to help improve wildlife habitat and migration corridors. If you've got a little time and don't mind putting in some work, it's a chance to make a real impact.

Merry Christmas from Backcountry Outpost.

Today, we celebrate the greatest gift ever given—Jesus Christ, born to bring hope, peace, and salvation into the world. In the quiet of a snowy trail, the stillness of a river bend, or the early morning light breaking over the mountains, we are reminded of God’s handiwork and His faithfulness. The outdoors has a way of pointing us back to Him—showing us His patience, His beauty, and His provision in ways words alone cannot capture.

This season, we give thanks for the blessings of family, friends, and community. We are grateful for each of you who make up our BCO family, for the trust you place in us, and for the chance to share in the adventures that this backcountry life offers. May your day be filled with the warmth of loved ones, the joy of His creation, and the hope that Christ’s birth brings to every corner of our lives.

Whether you’re casting a line, packing out into the wilderness, or enjoying the quiet moments at home, may God’s peace and guidance be with you in every step. From our family to yours, Merry Christmas. May His light shine on you today and always.

We’re taking a short break and will be closed from December 25th through January 1st.

If you have an urgent UPS drop-off, give us a call at 878-4428 and leave a message. We’ll be around to help facilitate those as needed.

Normal UPS pickups resume on January 2.

Heads up! BCO will be officially off the grid from Nov 26–30 so we can celebrate America’s favorite eating sport. We’ll be back on Monday the 30th, running on leftovers and the kind of choices that make great stories.

🚚 UPS Drop-offs/Pickups in Meeker:
No brown truck magic while we’re closed. BCO UPS drop-offs and deliveries will pause during the break and resume on the 1st — even UPS needs a moment for stuffing and pie.

We're going to be open today starting at Noon to resume our UPS drop offs in case anyone needs to get anything out.

We are a UPS Access point, so if any of the fire crew needs anything delivered to Meeker, use us as the drop off point and we will be here to accept it.

We want to express our gratitude for all the efforts made so far to contain both fires and protect our communities.
