If you were to do a search for words that describe fall you would find a list that includes- abundant, crisp, crunchy, enjoyable, fallen, fresh, golden, magnificent, and wondrous. It’s funny how this same list applies to our Athenian Foods’ Spanakopita, aka Spinach Puffs. The creamy filling of spinach and feta cheese is abundant. The outer phyllo shell is crisp, crunchy, and baked to a beautiful golden brown. Then when you bite into them you get fallen phyllo pieces followed by a magnificent and wondrous flavor profile. Tuesday’s become exponentially better when Athenian Foods’ Boureki is on the menu. They are creamy mounds of custard wrapped in layers of phyllo dough. You then bake them to a perfect golden brown and sprinkle them with cinnamon, or maybe powdered sugar. Or drizzle them with honey, or maybe chocolate. So many options - perhaps that is why there are 12 of them in each retail pack.

Treat your Tuesday tastebuds to some Athenian Foods’ Boureki. They can be found in your independent grocers’ freezer, right by the frozen whipped toppings and frozen fruit. Hey, both of those go great with our Boureki too. This Tuesday just got a bit better!

It’s our Friday Feast at Athenian Foods. You don’t think we can work here all day, smelling the awesome smells coming from our kitchen, and not partake in eating some of them, do you?

Today Mrs. T baked us a pan of our Athenian Foods’ Pastitsio for lunch. This delightfully delicious pasta dish is known to many as a Greek Lasagna. It has many of the same components, pasta, ragu and dairy. Our Pastitsio contains a tubular pasta mixed with cheese and egg as the base. Then there is a layer of ragu that contains ground beef, tomato, cinnamon and nutmeg. Those two layers then get topped with our creamy Béchamel sauce. While it bakes, the scent travels through the office and makes us (alright, maybe it’s just me) giddy with anticipation!

Athenian Foods’ Pastitsio is the perfect dish for any feast. Find it in the hot foods or grab-n-go section of your independent grocer. And by the way, one serving will not be enough!
