Some things have to end.

Building guitars solo in a saturated market is hard enough. Doing it with three kids is its own challenge. At this point in my life, I just don’t have the time it deserves.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be selling off what I have left. I’ll keep doing repairs and the occasional one-off or personal build, but for all intents and purposes, Emton is closed for now.

I’ve got some cool pieces I’m finishing up, so if you’ve been thinking about one, now’s the time. Thank you to everyone who liked, shared, and supported what I put out. It meant a lot.

Do you want a free guitar? I'm looking to start doing a new series where I build a guitar from things that mean something special to the owner. So if you or someone you know how has an old table, butchers block, or any furniture that is out of use but you've kept it because it means something to you personally, I will turn it into a guitar for free if you can:

1. Tell me the story behind it
2. Get it to me easily (if it can be shipped or brought to me in the Memphis area)
