How do you pray with art?
Come meet the author, Derek Rotty, of Praying with Art - a local to the Memphis area and a gift to the local Church. Learn how to pray with art and more too about his latest book on the soon to be Bl. Fulton Sheen!
This Saturday! 1-4 pm!
Derek Rotty and his family are parishioners at our beautiful St. Mary Catholic Church in Jackson, Tenn. He has written and taught extensively on Catholic history, culture, family, and faith formation. His writing for our Diocese’s Faith West Tennessee Magazine has been awarded by the Catholic Media Association.
Derek is the author of three books, including Prophet of Hope: Fulton Sheen Responds to the Modern World (Our Sunday Visitor, 2025), which examines the way "America's Bishop" engaged with the ideas of modern secular culture. He will be providing our local coverage of Bishop Fulton Sheen’s beatification Mass at the end of September.
Derek is also the author of Praying With Sacred Art: Pondering the Mystery of Redemption through Visio Divina (Sophia Institute, 2025), which will be highlighted at this "Meet the Author" event.
This event will be a great opportunity to meet Derek, talk about Blessed Fulton Sheen, get a taste of the next Visio Divina Retreat, which will be held at our Diocese’s Our Lady Queen of Peace Retreat Center, October 23-25. All Glory to God!
Living the anointed life!
