Muskie Bucktails recently made. The other? skull super glued to a jig head. The Bucktails are for sale. I put them on Market Place.

Large and smallmouth caught on the very erratic actions of a tube. Both released. I’v come to the conclusion that as hard as a bass fights should be the criteria by which all ( fish in basically the same weight class)other fish are judged and deemed worthy of survival. As far as I’m concerned I haven’t caught a bass the doesn’t fall into my personal fish amnesty program

I have been putting together some Muskie (spinners) Bucktails. Size 8 blades. Flashabou skirts, large treble hooks. Some skulls, beads and a wire shaft to put the components on and then bend the wire. Nip off the tag end and it’s done. Bending wire to perfection is difficult, I’m no expert but I‘ve come up with a solution. I use the factory loop end for the top and then assemble it -what has become for me- backwards.

the fish measured 24 1/2” caught three in the dark and no hits as it’s gotten lighter. But I know from experience here that, day or night if you can put a lure in front of their face they will bite it more often than not.Back in the nineties I spent an April day in a 12’ deep V boat that I had at the time. Two of us fished for 12 plus hours. Mike used a jig head with a minnow and I used soft plastics. At the end of the day we each caught the same number of walleyes but I also had a Lake trout. You wouldn’t believe the number of walleyes we caught so I’ll keep that to myself . Point being, this time of year you can catch Walleyes day or night. That doesn’t happen on a regular basis once the spawn is over
