I haven't posted much about the Lineage, but it's time to change that.

This guitar has been one of my biggest design projects — a completely new semi-hollow built from a blank sheet of paper. Carved solid-wood construction, tuned internal chambers, and a structure designed around how the strings, bridge and body interact.

My only problem? I can't describe it — you just have to play it. The way it feels, resonates and responds in your hands just doesn't come across in pictures or words.

It always starts with a pile of parts and a few pieces of wood...

A set of Seymour Duncans.
A Hipshot trem.
Some mahogany.
Some roasted maple.
A piece of rosewood.
And a special bookmatched curly maple drop top.

Then the fun starts!

The goal? Take all the customer conversations, all the specs, all the ideas and turn them into his guitar. His woods. His hardware. His electronics. His feel. His finish.

And a pile of parts and some raw lumber turns into this beauty...

And THAT is my favorite part of building guitars.

Some builders might call that a 10 Top. I think this one goes to 11. 😄
