Meet the Sisters Behind The Book Nook Sisters LLC
Who are Deanna and Jacilyn Knight?
Before we were bookstore owners, indie authors, business partners, and best friends, we were just two sisters growing up in a house full of family in California.
We grew up with our Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt all under one roof. It was a full house, but it was home. We were raised in a close-knit family where stories, imagination, and spending time together were a big part of our lives.
And, of course, there were books.
We both grew up loving to read, play, create, and get lost in our imaginations. We had our ups and downs as any sisters do. We argued. We annoyed each other. We probably drove our parents crazy more than once. But at the end of the day, we always took care of each other.
That relationship has followed us into adulthood.
We’ve grown, changed, taken different paths, faced hard seasons, celebrated big moments, and somehow ended up building something together that feels incredibly "us".
The Book Nook Sisters LLC was built from our shared love of books, creativity, community, and connecting with people. It’s more than a bookstore to us. It’s a little piece of the two girls who grew up surrounded by family and stories, dreamed big, and always had each other’s backs.
We’re sisters.
We’re best friends.
We’re business partners.
And we’re The Book Nook Sisters.
