The Groovy Goat is ready for its next chapter

Friends — this is one of the hardest posts we've ever had to write. Please take a few minutes to read this all the way to the end.💛
One month shy of our five-year birthday, we've made the very difficult decision to sell The Groovy Goat.
Some of you have asked when we're opening back up. The truest answer is that my health won't allow me to keep running it the way it deserves.
I'm still well cared for, but the process of healing and getting the answers we need is going to be much longer than we ever anticipated.
As hard as this decision has been, the thought of The Groovy Goat simply disappearing is harder- heartbreaking — our little corner going quiet, five years of memories just ending. We just can't do that.
Because for us, the Goat was never just a business.
It was a dream.
A labor of love.
A gathering place.
A little piece of magic.
And a BIG piece of our hearts.
So much of what made it special came from every one of YOU.
Everyone who walked through our doors.
Supported us.
Celebrated with us.
Brought their friends.
Shared a bottle of w**e.
Loved our sassy snarky ways
Had a conversation.
Made a memory.
Made friends
We hold a level of gratitude that is difficult to put into words.
Thank you just simply doesn't seem like enough.
But within the sadness, we are choosing to look toward what's possible. 💜
We truly believe The Groovy Goat still has a story left to tell.
The Groovy Goat still needs Mentone- and Mentone still needs The Groovy Goat
That's why we chose not to simply close the doors forever.
We're selling it so someone else can carry the dream forward.
And here's where we get excited…

The new owner purchases the assets that make up The Groovy Goat and operates the business under their own company — with the ability to hit the ground running from Day One.

• Registered Alabama trademarks and full logo rights, owned outright and ready to transfer
• An active ABC off-premise w**e permit tied to this location, transferable to a qualified buyer with ABC approval

• Transition support, including training, vendor introductions and support through the ABC permit transfer
The two spaces are leased, not owned.
