Drizzt Do’Urden is arguably the most famous character in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. Created by author R. A. Salvatore in the late 1980s, he is a heroic, dual-scimitar-wielding drow (dark elf) ranger who abandoned the evil, spider-worshiping ways of his subterranean homeland to fight for justice.
Born in the treacherous Underdark city of Menzoberranzan, Drizzt possessed a rare moral compass. Disgusted by his society’s cruelty, he deserted his people to live on the surface world.
