We had two very good customers musky fishing this week on area lakes, Dave and Gary! They purchased a surface bait made by Musky Madness globe baby in Orange/black spots- from me per my suggestion! Gary landed and quickly released a 46”+ fish (didn’t measure for quick release)! And they stopped back to share their story and bought a few more Globe Baby’s! Then Dave caught a real nice 38” tiger on a Livingston twitch bait! Beautiful fish w/successful releases!!👏👏🎣. Congrats to u both!

So my summer help, Keewin was packing our crawlers this week, which r packed in bedding and sell for $6.95/25 ct! Yep that’s what I said! They r gigantic! Here’s a pic of one Keewin and I measured! Over 10” 🤣👍🏼🎣 Get your bait and tackle from the best Bait & Tackle shop in the Northwoods!! 7/days/week!

We Restocked some nice rod combos and got most of the Mepps back upto stock - production has been behind for 6-8 weeks! Also added some great colors of Cubby jigs which r fantastic for panfishing and actually we’ve caught walleyes and Smallies on them too!! Good luck fishin’!!

Well even with the extreme heat the past two weeks we have had several nice fish registered in our free St.Croix Rod fishing contest! Beth Merc registered a 33” musky earlier and she won the Adult division $10 GC for the week! And Caroline Krings registered a nice 14.5” Smallie and she won the $10 youth GC! Then this week’s $10 GC winner I. The adult division winner is Heidi Brewer -who is our most active participant in our contest so thanks for getting involved - she landed a 22” northern and Greta Maske won the youth division this week w/a 22 1/4” pike! Congrats to all and hope everyone gets in our FREE CONTEST!!

We had a great evening of fishing w/Caitlin last week - she asked if we could get out and try her new Legend Rod out! Well we fished from 3-6:30 on the flowage and we tried a 12’ wood flat and only caught a few Smallies! Then we tried our weedy hot spot in 5-6.5’ in cabbage and c**n tail but the bite was slow! So we tried a woody hump in 6’ dropping into 9’, we consistently did the best on chubs and 1/8 oz CMT Weedless jigs, in fact Caitlin landed her Flowage PB 19.5” walleye on her new Legend - we took pics and she released it!👏👏! Then Jerry caught a 17+” and we threw it back too! We caught several over 16” for eats and one under slot but the bite was super aggressive! We pulled a couple big perch out of there too but those were on a dead stick rod w/a mini mite jig! We had an awesome afternoon w/ Caitlin so glad we could fish together!🎣♥️

Well we had several nice entries for week 4 of our St.Croix Rod fishing contest!!

This week’s adult winner is Oscar Carrillo who landed and released a 32” pike and Brayden Graber won the youth division $10 gift certificate w/a 15.75” Largemouth! Congrats to them and hope to c u all up north fishing!!

Well the bite continued to b great for us as we fished Sat evening from 6:15-8:30 and caught jumbo perch 11”ers and walleyes 14-17” in 7’ in heavy wood along an 11’ drop! Weedless jigs w/chubs produced the most fish! Then we worked the same 5.8-6.5’ weeds we fished on Thurs and caught our nicest walleyes of the night! Colin caught the first walleye on a slip bobber and a nice Smallie on the slip- he also got a 12.75” crappie on 1/8oz jig/fathead and the rest were while casting jigs/chubs or XL fats! We tried leeches -nothing! I landed the biggest - 19.5” walleye and released it!

We eat a lot of fish and I’m telling u all there’s no reason to eat that spawning walleye, the 17” provided huge thick fillets! Please keep that in mind while harvesting fish! The night out on the flowage was just awesome, it was an east wind too and water temps were 67! Hope to c u all fishing this week! Keep your eye on the sky all week as there are storms predicted daily!!

Jerry and I had an awesome day on the TFF- first day off in a ten day run so much appreciated! Mostly a 5-10 mph North wind w/few mayflies on the surface where we fished in 5.8-6’ in weeds! Started cloudy and we caught walleyes, I had the first in the boat on an 1/8oz CMT weedless jig and a Chub, Jerry caught the biggest eye of the day on a Moon Eye Jig tipped w/a paddle tail that was chart/purple! Then he proceeded to catch several nice crappie on the 4” plastic! I got the biggest Northern of the day on a chub- we released three that were 29-30” which r nice to c on the TFF! A small front came in w/high pressure the bite stopped and then an hour later we picked up a few more walleyes!

Well we had two $10 gift certificate winners in our Youth Division week 2 of our free St.Croix Rod fishing contest! Congrats to Greta Maske who entered an awesome 23” walleye which was also her first walleye- so COOL!! And Zach Mularski entered a nice 26.5” Northern!!
