Our area hummingbirds have started their migration, but don’t take those feeders down yet!

It could take another 3 weeks for them leaving and other hummers from further north may need a pit stop at feeders on their way down.

✔️ Keep fresh sugar water going for them
✔️ Keep feeders up at least 2 weeks after seeing the last hummer
✔️ They feed off of approximately 1500 flowers every day

It’s that time of year where summer and fall plants commingle 🙂

Landscape needs of perennials, bushes and trees are still going strong and it’s still a good time of year to get them planted and established before frost sets in.

Mums have arrived and giving them the correct care can carry them through October. Watering from the bottom, such as a saucer or a bucket soak is the best way to hydrate them. Don’t water from the top down. Deadheading spent blooms regenerate a new ones!
