You carefully select the fish, prepare the water, fast them properly, fill the bags with oxygen, and pack everything perfectly. Yet once that box leaves your hands, the fish are at the mercy of a closed environment where water quality begins to deteriorate with every passing hour.
As fish respire during transport, oxygen levels decline while carbon dioxide and ammonia levels rise. Even when fish survive the journey, shipping stress can weaken immune systems, reduce recovery rates, and increase the likelihood of health issues after arrival.
That is why Hakuna Matata Koi is excited to offer ALFISH®-L.
ALFISH®-L was specifically developed to help combat the major challenges associated with live fish transportation. When used in a standard oxygen-filled shipping bag, ALFISH®-L works throughout the shipment to:
• Generate dissolved oxygen
• Absorb carbon dioxide produced by fish respiration
• Reduce ammonia accumulation in the shipping environment
• Help maintain better water quality during transit
• Support fish vitality during long-distance transportation

Ordering & Storage Information
• Minimum order quantity is 5 ALFISH®-L units. Each order is supplied in a high-barrier aluminum storage pouch containing 5 individual ALFISH®-L packets.
• Use one (1) ALFISH®-L unit per fish shipping bag.
• Once the outer barrier pouch is opened, remove units only as needed and complete packing operations within approximately 5 hours under normal ambient conditions.
• Unopened ALFISH®-L has a 5-month shelf life from the date of delivery.
• Store in a cool, dark, dry location at or below 77°F (25°C).
• For extended storage or when ambient temperatures exceed 77°F, store at 59°F (15°C) or below in a refrigerator or refrigerated storage area.
