Andros Books Publishing was started in 1998 in an effort to provide parenting and educational books to the citizens of the U.S. We have since expanded, through the publication of our initial publishing efforts to providing workshops, book signings, research, speaking engagements, convention pull-out, and receiving phone calls regarding alternative education for parents, students and grandparents who are faced with difficult decisions regarding future education for family members. We strongly advocate for home schooling, charters, and private schools, while still recognizing that traditional education is appropriate for many students. Families facing hardships from problems which make traditional classroom education either difficult or unsuitable often turn to us to help them make their difficult decisions. We have often offered help with recommendations regarding curriculum or curriculum mix. Reasons for making decisions regarding alternative education include learning or physical disability, prolonged or chronic disease which requires long stays at home or in the hospital, and extended travel. Many choose home schooling as their answer in terms of faith or belief system, and others simply have the time, energy, and drive.
