2 vehicles, multiple funds
It sounds weird; yes, we have 2 vehicles.
The truck was purchased with a business loan to haul our mobile unit to and from markets. It’s too costly for personal use in terms of gas consumption. So, it’s primarily for the business. It is a 2006 and needs a lot of catch up maintenance - oil change, transmission flush and fill, shocks, spark plugs and ignition coils. Brake diagnostic. After purchase, I have a check engine light and brake light which confirmed the above maintenance needs.
The car - purchased for me by my parents after all of the financial turmoil I’ve been going through. I am actively applying to paid work - I have had 8 total interviews in the past 18 months, 2 of which were 2nd interviews. I need to shield my parents from my financial challenges and get this car paid off and out of their names. I can’t afford to do that on my part-time rideshare income. I need y’alls help on this primarily. The added problem is the catalytic converter needs replacing (confirmed diagnostic by 3 separate code reads) and I can no longer drive riders or my kiddos because the fumes are overwhelming. The quotes for this alone are $1,500-5,000.
