Vintage 1960s Kay K1160 Music Note

Made in Chicago in circa 1965–66

SOLD

Original sunburst finish is in good condition with evidence of age and a history of use

This guitar was made of spruce and mahogany (plywood)and has ladder-braced construction. And educated guess says it was probably Kay’s take on something from the Gibson LG-1/LG-2/LG-3 family

24¾” ( Gibson-scale length)

13½” lower bout.

Guitar is all original has never broken, modified, or repaired and is in Good used working condition. It is playable as-is however additional setup work could further improve playability. It’s chunky C-Shape neck is Straight and feels like something straight out of 1955

Ideal for songwriting and works great for recording aa it’s tight low end and sparkles barking yet warm midrange will sit nicely in a mix.

Also a great everyday playing Classic Chicago-made vintage Kay character without the Gibson price and gets an A+ as far as affordability goes
