We're in the 15th Week in Ordinary Time--almost halfway through the season! And here in the US, it is the middle of summer. Our weather in Louisiana tends to be quite tropical during July: thunderstorms every afternoon. The canticle from Daniel 3 tends to come to mind: "lightnings and clouds, bless the Lord" And we, too, bless (that is, praise) the Lord, even in the midst of wind and thunder. God has more in store for us than this earth.
