Our Story
The process of making textiles, specially selvage denim, is part science and a very large dose of "art". Making high-quality selvage denim and jeans from this style of denim is both complicated and intricate to the point that the hand-crafted attention to detail is mostly under-appreciated in the mass-produced garment industry. Our denims embody the vintage approach to producing textiles in an era where people, not robots and computers, had more to say about the character and ultimately the individuality of the jeans you are wearing.
At American Selvage Denim we have been involved with denim fabric manufacturing, merchandising and sales for over 30 years. We understand the nuances and challenges of today’s jean producer to design, procure, and manufacture quality jeans, and deliver those jeans in today’s retail market.
