W**e of the week: Christina - Grüner Veltliner 2020

A fun and fresh white is our favorite this week. Approximately 70% of w**e production in Austria is from white grapes. Of this type of w**e, the most famous is Grüner Veltliner.

We chose for this week's favorite the Christina 2020, a natural, unfiltered Grüner. It is a perfect w**e for the floral spirit of spring and the atmosphere of summer. Easy to drink, with floral notes. Refreshing.

As Austria cements its way to stardom in the international w**e market, the crisp and spicy Grüner Veltliner has been its star w**e. The best Austrian expressions come from vineyards on the Danube River in Wachau, Kremstal and Kamptal.

The founder, Christiana Netzl, worked with her family on the mixed farm and vineyards from a young age. Christina knew she wanted to become a w**emaker already at the tender age of five. Inspired by the quality of the natural w**es she discovered while living in London and the birth of her two daughters, Christina decided to convert the entire property to organic in 2013 and started her own range of natural w**es two years later. The w**e labels are a tribute to the beneficiary insects that inhabit the vineyards, where they help manage pests and promote soil health and biodiversity.
