📚✨ Another amazing afternoon with Coffee Milano & Currently Reading Book Club!

This month we gathered to discuss All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker, and what an afternoon it was! There was so much laughter, lots of great conversation, plenty of delicious food, and we were so excited to welcome THREE new members to the group! 🥹❤️

We brought a little bit of M***a Clare to Coffee Milano with our themed decor, book-inspired food, and our “A Little Light in the Dark” activity, where everyone decorated a rock with a word, phrase, or design representing hope, gratitude, kindness, love, or encouragement.

These afternoons just keep becoming more special, and it makes us so happy to see this little book-loving community continue to grow. ☕📖🍂

For our October meeting, we’ll be reading Not Quite Dead Yet by Holly Jackson

a thriller about 27-year-old Jet, who wakes after a brutal attack and learns she may have only seven days left to live. With time running out, she sets out to solve her own attempted murder.

Sounds like the perfect spooky-season read to us! 🎃🖤

We’ll be gathering this Sunday at 2 PM to chat about All the Colors of the Dark, enjoy some treats and drinks, and spend the afternoon talking books with good company.

🍂📚 We’re popping up at Sip & Stroll Harvest this Saturday! 📚🍂

Come find Nedrah & Nicole’s Nerdy Nook at the Middleboro Sip & Stroll and spend the afternoon shopping local, sipping something yummy, and browsing all the bookish goodies. ☕🛍️

We’ll have plenty of favorites with us, including Blind Dates with a Book, Blind Date Book Boxes, used books, kids & teen books, bookmarks, bookish décor, gifts, and more!

There will be over 100 amazing vendors, plus food trucks, bar service, and lots to explore. 🍁

📚✨ Another wonderful Sunday afternoon with the Coffee Milano & Currently Reading Book Club! ✨📚

This month we stepped back into the 1960s with The Book Club for Troublesome Women by Marie Bostwick and what a great book for conversation!

Most of our group really enjoyed the book, but one of the best parts of the afternoon was hearing different perspectives from women of different generations. Some of our members actually lived through the time period portrayed in the story, which led to such an interesting conversation about how much has changed for women, how much we sometimes take for granted, and the experiences that shaped the generations before us.

And then, of course, we got a little less serious and decorated cakes! Everyone got their own little cake and access to a truly ridiculous amount of sprinkles, pearls and decorations. Some masterpieces were created… and most importantly, we had fun doing it!

Add in chicken salad croissants, charcuterie, a very retro pineapple-coconut cake, themed Coffee Milano drinks, lots of laughs and good conversation, and it was another afternoon that reminded us exactly why we love this book club so much. 🥰

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and we missed those who couldn’t make it this month! As always, new faces are welcome. There is no pressure, no fancy literary analysis required — just come read, chat, eat and hang out with a group of fellow book lovers. ☕📖

Coffee Milano & Currently Reading Book Club

📚💕 July’s book club was one for the books!

We had such a wonderful Sunday afternoon discussing Mad Mabel, and I think it’s safe to say this one was a hit! The conversations were thoughtful, funny, and heartfelt, and it was so much fun hearing everyone’s different perspectives. Our activity sparked some great conversations too (and thankfully everyone was a good sport! 😉).

One of our favorite parts of every month is watching this little community continue to grow. Seeing new faces alongside familiar ones reminds us why we started this book club in the first place.

We’re also absolutely loving our new space at Coffee Milano. It created such a cozy, intimate atmosphere that made discussion feel even more personal, and we couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, shared your thoughts, laughed with us, and helped make another meeting so special. ❤️
Now we’re already counting down until next month…
