Tinker and Smithy Game Store, Middlebury, VT A community game space first, and a game store second. Free Games Library (in store), with sign out for Store Members. Family events every Sat and Sun.

Come check out and use our Free Games Library (in store), or sign out a game to take home (with store membership). We have large public gaming space, and a private gaming room as well. There is a soft seating area, with couch, chairs, and a coffee table large enough to easily handle two board games at once. Our store offers painting services for miniatures, and classes to help you become a better, quicker painter with minimal effort. One night a week we hope to do a demo of a game we sell. If you are interested in a specific title, our store wants you to be able to "Try before you Buy" to assure that the title will be good fit. If there are are too many people for the demonstration, then we may offer options for others to come in and try the game at a later date, or allow spectators to observe the game in play. Store membership has it's perks: sign out games from our game library. Reserve games from the Games Library, or simply a table for certain times. Membership also includes free use of the private DnD room with all associated wargame terrain (trees, towns, castles, caves and more!). Members will also be allowed to special order items we do not offer in store. More information coming soon!

Folks, we would like to make an announcement about Magic: The Gathering thieves.

Jason Mercier: was caught stealing from a player in our store. The card in question was expensive, and Jason was caught taking it on video.

Ryan Baringer: Was caught stealing from other players and the store. Was caught on video. Later wrote and apology saying he has a brain injury and that it was not his fault. He stole many cards, playmats, etc. Even after people gave him free cards to get into the modern format. What a d**k.

Hunter Ladd: We finally caught him stealing other players prerelease kits at events. He took multiple kits over multiple events. We caught him once and he said it was a mistake. Turns out, he's just a thief.

Please let everyone in your magic communities know. These players steal from trade binders, steal from stores, and will even steal from kids. If they are at your pre-release, alert the tournament organizer and keep watch.
