You guys, I fear I’m in trouble with this one.

I’ve been over here wooing and ahhing over every single piece because they are so freaking beautiful — and this one feels even sweeter because the incredibly talented maker behind them also happens to be my friend, Jordan of Oui Chef Studio. OUI CHEF STUDIO | Heirloom Jewelry

And truly, this is exactly the direction I’ve been wanting to take Kindred.

I’m at a point where I don’t want more stuff just for the sake of having more. In my own life and in the shop, I’m drawn to things that feel special. Things made well. Things you keep.

I’d rather have the ring I wear for the next 20 years than five inexpensive ones I forget about next season.

So we’re slowly saying goodbye to some of the cheaper jewelry we’ve carried and making room for beautiful, heirloom-quality pieces — and Oui Chef felt like the perfect place to start.

For Kindred, we’re starting with her bronze pieces: the sweetest frilly heart rings, charms, vintage charms and beaded necklaces. They’re playful without feeling trendy, and special without feeling too precious to actually wear.

And maybe my favorite part? I know the person behind them.

There’s something really special about owning a small shop and getting to fill my shelves with something dreamed up and made by another small business owner — especially a friend.

More small makers. Fewer, better things. Pieces you wear, love, and hopefully pass down someday.

And the best part? They’re officially here. Oui Chef Studio is now at Kindred, and you can shop the collection in the shop now. Come see them in person — because I promise, they’re even better when you get them in your hands.

ISO: LAMPSHADES!

We’re reworking a display for Mercantile Market and I’m looking for old lampshades to recover + give a whole new life to. I’d love a mix of shapes and sizes, so truly open to anything!

If you have any collecting dust that you’d be willing to donate to our little Mercantile project, I would be SO grateful. Send me a message and I can arrange pickup/drop-off!
