We thought owning a boutique would be about clothes.

And of course, I love finding cute things and seeing someone walk out feeling really good and what she’s wearing.

But somewhere along the way, I realized the best part isn’t really the clothes.

It’s the people.

It’s getting to know you. Hearing about your families. Helping you find something for a special occasion. Seeing familiar faces come back through the door.

That’s the part of owning a local business. I don’t think you’ll fully understand until you’re in it.

And I think that’s what makes small business is so special. There’s a person, a family and a story behind them.
