Form 4 wait times have changed A LOT lately 👀

If you’ve been holding off, here’s the current reality (as of 2026):

• eForm 4 (Individual): often seeing approvals in as little as a few days, with many averaging around 10–14 days
• eForm 4 (Trust): typically a bit longer, often around 2–4 weeks depending on background checks
• Paper Form 4: still the slow lane… think several months (sometimes much longer)

For context, the ATF is reporting median eForm 4 processing times as low as ~12 days recently, which is a massive improvement compared to last year.

Bottom line: eForms are the way to go right now, and approvals are moving faster than we’ve seen in years.

Of course, every application is different—delays can still happen—but overall, things are finally trending in the right direction.
