Form 4 / 4473 suppressor questions - Update:

We have been keeping a close eye on the industry and we still have a lot of questions about where we’re going from here. The good news is, it seems that the industry as a whole is expecting something from the ATF for further guidance sometime next week (hopefully).

I do believe that we will get an update that is promising sooner rather than later. Because of that and because of the sheer number of suppressor sales going through silencer shop right now, we are recommending to our customers that if they want to get a suppressor sometime soon to come in and place the order with us so we can go ahead and get the item on order and headed to the store. Hopefully by the time it gets here, we have further guidance from the ATF on how to handle the paperwork side of it, and we can process it through more efficiently and quickly. We only have a few suppressors in stock and they will not last.

As always, we will do what we can to provide our customers with the best experience possible while maintaining our strict paperwork and legal processes. And for customers that do not want to wait for the further guidance, suppressors are still easier to get them they have ever been and we can get one in your hands in less than a week or two on average.

We look forward to seeing you all next week. It’s shaping up to be a pretty hectic week so if you’d like for us to get a suppressor on order for you, please let us know ASAP.

Ok so here’s the deal:

We’ve been getting tons of questions about the lawsuit that silencer shop was involved in with the NFA about removing suppressors from the NFA. The truth is there is a lot of misinformation floating around and a lot of people expecting to walk into gun stores starting tomorrow and walk out the same day with suppressors.

Here’s the truth:

While we want nothing more than for this to be how things move forward from here. We have to be very careful with how we as a business move forward and proceed with caution. We are awaiting further confirmation from the ATF and Silencer Shop about what happens next. What it boils down to is that several families depend on our business doing things the right way. We love our customers, but no suppressor sale is worth us do something that could end up making us lose our license to sell fi****ms or lose our business and we hope you all understand that.

Until we know more about what the ACTUAL implications are for FFLS. We will treat suppressors the same as always. When something changes we will update all of our customers.

The good news is that the normal suppressor process is quicker and easier than ever. So come see us for all your suppressor needs.
