Been lettin’ this page sag a bit, but, on tap for todays work... #1 get the wenge stringers leveled to the body wings for this Death Adder build, then get the bubinga neck blank to a proper angle for the Hannes bridge it will use.

Up later.. truss rod installation in a “Specter” project and body shaping and routing of a Spitfire..

So... today at the Mifflintown shop, I finished the neck carve and body modifications to this Jackson Kelly. The owner wanted a bit thicker neck profile than the razor thin stock one, and requested pretty much my standard HEL neck profile wich is a flattened C ( not quite a D) and .82” thick at the first to .88 at the 12th. (Stock measures around .73” at the first)

It has a compound (12”-16”) radius ebony fingerboard, a solo shark fin at the 12th and is shelved for a “Lok-N-Roll” nut. (Sadly you can see the superdeluxeultra Allied Lutherie stainless steel truss rod in there...)

Frets will be Jescar Supah Jumbo 58-118 Stainless.

Body was modified for a more contoured heel with inset ferrules and no plate.

I also joined up korina body wings and added wenge stringers to them to attach to a bubinga neck through next time for another customers guitar build. (But didn’t take any pictures.. booo)..

Then... i looked at my 64 SG hulk, and promised it that I would finally bring it to SC and start the process of rebinding its poor, disheveled fingerboard. (Then left without it because i forgot to bring its case..)

Then I hacked weeds down for the last half hour so that my dads dog can see the front sidewalk and bay like a lunatic as people walk by..
