We use natural leavening, or sourdough, for our breads, and organic flours and ingredients in all baked goods. Like it was for many others, the pandemic lock down was life and career changing for me. My elementary school age boys were home, and I had to adjust my work life around their needs. Sharing food with friends and family has become an essential part of my life and when the pandemic hit, dinner parties, and social eating was out the window. I began to recognize how much bringing food to my community means to me. I began making sourdough breads like many people did a year ago, but I couldn’t stop. I would make it and deliver to friends and neighbors to try. Finally it dawned on me that maybe I was naturally evolving my career real time. So I took the leap in February to secure a Cottage Food Permit to operate from my home. Our baked goods are made with Organic, fairly traded, and high quality ingredients because that matters. We are working hard to introduce whole grains into the breads and baked goods, and are expanding our wheat free offerings. But what I am most proud of is seeing so many people sharing our goods as gifts for others. That is a dream come true for me - people sharing within the community and using our goods as a means to show kindness and caring.
