🕷️ SPIDER-MAN REACHES #1000! 🕷️

To celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re starting a countdown through the history of The Amazing Spider-Man!

Tomorrow, we go back to where it all started.

Along the way, we’ll show you books we actually own, copies currently being graded, reprints filling some BIG holes, and plenty that are still on our wish list.

Our goal? Get as many Amazing Spider-Man issues as we possibly can!

Now we want to see what’s in YOUR collection:

🕷️ Did you pick up ASM #1000?
🕷️ Do you own Amazing Spider-Man #1?
🕷️ Or do you have the granddaddy of them all — Amazing Fantasy #15?

Tomorrow: Where Spider-Man began.

⚔️ THUNDERCATS… HOOOO! ⚔️

The hunt at Big Ben’s came through!

We found two original 1987 LJN ThunderCats for the Mamma’s toybox — Lynx-O and Pumyra. And Pumyra is one you definitely don’t see every day.

Nothing beats finding vintage toys in the wild.

👉 Which ThunderCat would YOU have grabbed first?

I almost caught Rodan.

At Joelanta, a vendor had the original 1979 Mattel Rodan sitting there. He told me he’d had a hard time selling him, partly because one of the wings was cracked.

And if you know Rodan, you know why. These things are notoriously brittle. Finding one at all is tough. Finding one completely intact is even tougher.

I made him an offer.

He told me, “If he doesn’t sell, come back Sunday and we’ll make a deal.”

So I waited.

But when Sunday came around…

Rodan had flown away.

Somebody bought him before I could get back.

Cracked wing or not, I wanted him. There are certain toys where condition matters—and then there are toys you’re just happy to find after nearly 50 years.

This one got away.

But the hunt isn’t over.

🦅 1979 Mattel Rodan — I’m still looking for you.

What toy did you almost get…and still regret letting get away?

🇧🇷 MORE YOU KNOW MONDAY!

You know G.I. Joe. You’ve heard of Action Force. But have you met Brazil’s Joes?

In 1984, Estrela launched Comandos em Ação—Brazil’s version of G.I. Joe, with familiar faces, different names, and its own twists!

Take this gold-masked Destro. His Brazilian bio identifies him as the leader of Força Destro, a weapons designer, and pilot of the V.I.B.O.R.A. Same recognizable villain—another chapter in G.I. Joe history!

That’s what makes international collecting so much fun: the toys you remember still have stories you haven’t heard.

Have any Brazilian Joes in your collection? Tell us below! 👇
