Thank you to Taylor and Denice and everyone who threw your hearts into this event - it truly was going to be an epic day, but as they’ve said below, “rain or shine” does not mean heavy downpour and lightning when you have musicians and artwork etc. So very grateful to everyone who worked so hard for this wonderful event and to those who came out for it ❤️❤️

The shop will close now at 3 today. Will be open again next Friday

Well, this is not how we wanted the day to go… ⛈️☹️

The Holmes County Art Festival is CANCELLED.

We monitored the forecast, we prepped emergency storm supplies, and we hoped for a break in the weather. Rain or shine, we were going to do it…so we thought. Heavy rainfall, thunder, and lightning doesn’t mix with precious handmade art or expensive instruments and sound equipment. We tried. And we really, really wanted it to work.

We saw those of you who came with umbrellas, wore rain boots, bought art, listened to music, and joined in the activities. We appreciate all of our vendors, demonstrators, musicians, and shoppers. Thank you for supporting our festival despite less-than-ideal conditions.

We are excited to welcome everyone back next year…with sunny skies, of course! ☀️

Gotta love a colorful shelf. This one started life as a dark maroon display for encyclopedias. The books were long gone when I got it, but its usefulness continues (especially thanks to my pops who is an expert on painting metal 🤗). The Mascot Syndicate began as mostly an art shop, but it’s expanded over the years into all kinds of charming and colorful design … for your home, for your kids, and yes still for your walls. We are closed tomorrow the 11th, but stop by during the Art Festival on Saturday! Open 10-5 ❤️

THIS SATURDAY! Get ready to celebrate the arts! Historic Downtown Millersburg will be hosting the annual Holmes County Arts Festival - art, music, food … even stilt-walkers! Our shop is only half a block from the main festivities, so pop down to see lots of fun creative goods … including some new little drawings made in house here (and NOT by a robot!) Open 10-5 (and maybe a little later 🤷‍♀️)

(Pretend that says “artS festival” btw. I only just noticed 🤦‍♀️😩)

Summer is winding down, so it’s time to start dreaming of autumn … one of our favorite ways to get in the chilly mood is to get a little spooky! Some of our Halloween goodies are already out, including some fun kids books. The Millersburg shop is open until 5 today 🎃👻

The Millersburg shop is open until 5 today! We’re in between putting away summer and unboxing fall/halloween so it’s a bit summerweeny in here. (Are those Halloween pet toys I peep back there on the wall 👀🐈‍⬛🦮🎃)
