❤️🔥 Fireman’s Memorial Weekend ❤️🔥
Fireman’s Memorial Weekend was such a meaningful, humbling, and grounding experience for us. It is a powerful reminder of just how precious and fragile life is—and how quickly everything can change in the blink of an eye.
Vinni had the honor of running sound for the ceremony, helping to ensure that every name was heard clearly and that each speaker was able to share their message with the intention and respect it deserved. Being even a part of such an important ceremony was truly an honor.
One message from the Chaplain especially stood out to us: the names on this wall—and on memorials across the country, including those honoring the lives lost on September 11th—are not simply names.
They are people.
People who had stories.
People who lived full lives.
People who had families, friends, dreams, and people waiting for them to come home.
Some of them made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting others. And it is our responsibility to continue telling their stories—to remember the people behind the names and never allow them to become simply another name etched into a wall.
As a first responder family, honoring those who walked in these boots before Vinni, Roscoe, and even our Uncle R.E. (also Roscoe) who has over 25 years of service... holds a very special place in our hearts. ❤️
We truly appreciate the patience and understanding our customers have shown as both Vinni and I have stepped away from our businesses at different times throughout September to take part in something we feel is profoundly important. Your support allows us the opportunity to be present for these moments, and we are incredibly grateful for that.
If you ever have the opportunity to visit the Fireman’s Memorial in Roscommon, Michigan, we highly encourage you to do so. And if you have the opportunity to attend the annual memorial ceremony, we encourage you to experience it at least once.
It is difficult to put into words just how humbling and meaningful it is to stand among the names, hear the stories, and remember the lives behind them.
