Bride Tayelor was one of my first followers to reach out after my big wedding dress rescue haul months back. I sent her a few pictures of what I had in my huge pile, and we landed on a 1960s homemade vintage wedding dress.
The dress had a beautiful shape, but there was a lot of *adorable and charming* uneven fabric lengths, botched stitching, and odd design choices for that era. (Not to mention stains and yellowing galore.)
Once I was able to get the dress back to its original white color, I shipped the dress out to Indiana! Tayelor and her seamstress took over the project from there and reimagined the dress to a stunning wedding day 'getting ready' outfit.
I'm beyond thrilled to see a forgotten wedding dress repurposed in such a meaningful way. Tayelor plans on keeping her outfit for her daughter someday to use if she chooses.
Thanks so much, Tayelor, for seeing the beauty and potential in left behind history. ๐ค
