L & C Christmas Wonderland

As I go to flip the breaker for the last time, I want to take a moment to say thank you for all the people who visited. Seeing all the smiles and hearing all the joy it brought to others makes all the hard work and dedication worth it.

I am blessed for those who chose to show up and help to make it all possible.

Planning for this year is already in the works and lots of new additions will be coming to almost every area.

I'll start posting the dates and the charity selected in October.

*** ALL this post is from the weekend. We are NOT open for walk thru now but our lights are on every night unless there is bad weather. You can drive by or pull over and walk the fence line. We are very appreciative of everyone and all the comments, but we do live further out than most and don't want people to be upset if they show up to walk-through and cannot.

We are open, come enjoy the lights and Christmas spirit. We had a family of elves come for a visit.

Sorry for any inconvenience but the winds are too much for the decorations tonight and we are not going to have the lights on.

 If you're looking for something fun to do tonight we have that special visitor flying in for tonight who will be here from 5:30 to 8:30 come out and take your pictures. There is no cost to walk-through but we are accepting donations for Vision of Hope if you feel the calling to give. If your looking for a special present, we will have home made jellies and jams with Just One More Farm as well as honey, suckers, straws, and bottles of regular and hot honey with Just One More Apiary.  Tin Can Coffee and More will be here with all your coffee, hot chocolate, tea and lemonades… I had the ginger chia last night, which was amazing  and The Rusty Rim will be here with lots of comfort food . I saw the loaded fries last night, which looked so good but went with the Philly cheesesteak, which was delicious. Maddie will be here with her bracelets, and can make you a custom one as you walk through the display. Hope to see you tonight and God Bless.

All, I want to make a quick call out if I can so there's no confusion going forward. Our lights are on nightly from 5:15 to 9:30 every night, weather permitting. I have created an event for four nights that we are actually open for the public to come in and walk-through. Otherwise it is a drive-by or you can pull over and walk along the outside fence. I'm attaching the flyer, but I would like to apologize if she's on here and sees this a lady who stopped by last night with her children. The gate was open, but we were having a private church event so there were a lot of cars here. If I had been brought out I would have walked thru with you even though we were not "officially" open. I hope you are able to return and it wasn't a huge letdown for you kids. As for our "special " visitor this Saturday, we will not be taking pictures but you are welcome to take them with your phone or camera.

As much as I do not want to do this, we are cancelling the walk thru event this weekend. With the rain last night and drizzle that is still occurring, the yard is to wet. We have decided in addition to next weekend, we will open Dec 19th and 20th. I'll create those events shortly and update the flyer. We appreciate your understanding as so much work goes into this, no one is more disappointed with Mother Nature than us.

Quick update on this weekend, I am holding out as long as possible to make a decision about tomorrow and Saturday. I do NOT want to cancel but Mother Nature is working against us. The yard is pretty wet and if we get another hard rain, my fear is with everyone walking thru, it will be destroyed and turn to nothing but mud. We will make a final call for Friday night by noon tomorrow. Rest assured IF we have to cancel, we will get a 2nd weekend scheduled to replace this weekend. Now everyone say a prayer and cross your fingers and toes!
