Just wanted to give you all a little flower love and a big thank you to all who came out for flower fest. From our family to yours we just wanted to give you all a great big dose of appreciation!

We all hope you enjoyed your time on our farm! It’s been a hard year with the weather, high temps and no rain for a very extended period of time left us working extra hard to try and keep the flowers growing and blooming!

When I started this business I did it with the goal that I knew I wanted to share it. I knew if i could provide a place to extrude a feeling for others the same way the flowers made me feel…rooted in happiness and joy and maybe allow people to enjoy the slower moments of life and forget your cares even if for a short time then I would consider that to be a win. I hope that we succeeded in that goal!

Thank you to all our vendors who had a key part in the day, to all our patrons who came out to support and treated our farm with respect and care, and to my family and friends who helped us prep for the event and kept things running, a great big thank you to all of you!

Moving forward the zinnia field will be open for cutting during open hours which can always be found on our website. Our hours have to fluctuate due to the nature of this business. We will schedule more all access u-pick events in the near future!

Unfortunately the forecast for tomorrow is calling for rain, lightning and even potential severe storms. For that reason and out of respect to our vendors to allow them to plan accordingly we are cancelling all outdoor activities for tomorrow which include all the food trucks. The farm shop will remain open tomorrow from 10-4 and if weather lets up we will still allow you access to the field for picking etc. barring any flooding. The good news is you can still come for round 2 on Aug 16th with details to come!

Ok, forgive us for not posting this sooner but this summer the heat and draught has kept us on our feet and not on socials.

FLOWER FEST 2026….you’re all asking….as a family we’ve collectively decided the show must go on.
It’s a time to gather on the farm, soak up some peace, be with friends, and if we are lucky and get some much needed rain the grass won’t be quite as crispy.

Food trucks will be onsite as well as a couple other guests. We will give you ALL the details shortly just wanted to put the bug in your ears!

Dates for art and nature camp have changed it is now July7th, 8th, and 9th and there’s still time to sign up! This is a fun immersive experience for kids and they will also be creating a poppy project for Milton Public Library. For info/sign ups reach out to Rita at [email protected]

Tulips are bunched and ready to go all week! We are open everyday through Sunday this week and there’s a lot of people to celebrate! Teachers, Nurses, and Moms!

We also have mini bunches in bouquet holders for easy transport for the littles.

As we near the weekend we will have lots of flower options! Stay tuned!

A few notes from the farm just to keep you updated:

We will only be open this week Wed the 29th from 11-5 and Thurs the 30th from 10-4
There’s a whole lot of behind the scenes going on to prep the farm and prepare for Mother’s Day, but if you need tulips this week we’ve got them.

We will be closed on the weekend due to other commitments, sorry!

The good news is next week/weekend is going to be a busy and fun one with lots of open hours because it’s Mother’s Day!

We will have lots of tulips and a plethora of beautiful flower choices. We’re cooking up some fun options! More to come on that.

🌷There’s been a lot of questions and a lot of buzz around tulip production so we thought maybe you all would enjoy reading a little more about some tulip talk. 🌷

These are spent bulbs. We buy new tulip bulbs every single year for tulip production for cut flowers. This has people thinking wait, what? I thought tulips were perennials? You have to buy new bulbs every year!? In some cases tulips are perennials, for flower farmers they are not.

Tulip bulbs in which leaves and flowers are removed will not produce a reliable or quality bloom the following year. As that flower goes through its process the leaves are gathering nutrients and storing them in the bulb underground for flowering the following year. When there are no leaves and because the flower is not allowed to die down in its natural life cycle and is harvested rather, there is not enough put back into that bulb for continued production with any guarantee of good stem length or good quality sized flowers.

It is true that tulips which are perennialized in peoples yards do come back every year, but those tulips are given their natural process. We have lot of people asking why their yard tulips are petering out. When we ask are you picking them? Almost always the answer is yes, so this may give insight into why they are not coming back at all or coming back very small.
