Good morning, everyone!
As we continue adding more official organized play events and our schedule gets busier (with games sometimes overlapping), we need to tighten things up so everything runs smoothly and we respect everyone’s time. A lot of you plan your day around a specific window, and starting late or running long hurts the whole experience.
Here’s how we’re handling it starting today:
The time listed on the event post/ad is the official start time of the game—not check-in.
Pre-constructed formats (Standard, Pioneer, etc. where you bring a ready deck): Check-in opens 2 hours before start so we have time for deck checks.
Limited formats (Prereleases, Drafts, Sealed, etc. where you build at the event): Check-in opens 1 hour before start.
If you’re running late, please message us no later than 30 minutes before the event. We’ll still hold your seat if you let us know in time.
We will start on time. If you’re significantly late (even after notifying us), you may lose build time or receive a game loss for Round 1, but you’ll still be able to join.
At the 30-minute mark, any seat we haven’t heard about will be released to the waitlist so we can check those players in and still start on schedule. Messaging us at 25 minutes or later often means the seat is already gone if there’s a waitlist.
If you prepaid and no-show (or lose your seat due to late notice), you’ll receive a store credit refund. (Think of it like a movie ticket—if you don’t show, there’s no cash refund.)
We’re making these changes so everyone has a fair shot at a seat and a full, on-time event experience as we grow and seating becomes tighter on popular games.
Thanks for understanding and helping us keep the fun rolling for everyone. Constructive feedback and ideas are always welcome—just keep it solution-oriented.
See you at the tables!
