We're just having such a great time that workshops have been running very late and even splitting into two dates. Good news for you: at 5pm we're finishing up some bezel stone setting projects which is the perfect time to join for open studio time! This session is $60 for unlimited time and all tools & materials available! Whether you'd love some guidance, questions answered, or a place to run your creativity.... we gotchu! We're one week away from Christmas On Kk! We're very excited for this event and hope to see the neighborhood turnout! With the past year being as hard as it's been we are hoping many of you decide to shop small this holiday season. Sparrow, and all our neighbors on KK, are always greatful for your support and are looking forward to seeing you soon! Tomorrow is Shop Small Saturday. For 14 years it's been one of the most fun days of the year, next to our spring anniversary party. As it has approached I've been struggling with what to say, what to plan, what to do with how this last year in particular has gone. Last year there was a bit of a downhill slope happening. My the end of the holidays December came in 30% short of our norm and the slope only continued this year. I was putting in 10/10 effort coming up with how to build back up and shift. I have felt like I'm working round the clock everyday and being spread so thin, to have it seemingly not change much. We hoped the gofundme would help at least a little hump (and unbelievably grateful for every bit of it) it just didn't. After a few efforts it just felt like...you can only ask for help so many times. I'd much rather have brand new ideas and efforts than ask for a hand-out. The workshops have always been a great non-product based flow but even those have steeply dropped off. In September we just had to let go of the boutique rather than that hole get deeper. My family and I cover the shop 4-5 days a week, while trying to out our our own work, have the kids full time, personal health struggles and everything in between. We've been ending months 10% of the norm and lower than it's been in a decade, while expenses remain, and artists who depend on us behind and owed. That's left us with almost no new product since the start of the year. So, this next six weeks or so remaining in the year are rather crucial. We get so many heartfelt comments about being a loved staple in our neighborhood and it's everything I've built for the last 15 yrs, we definitely don't want to go anywhere. SO, we've got some plans for what we'll be doing and offering tomorrow and we hope to see you. Some great ideas for support include scheduling/signing up for a workshop, hosting a voucher for a workshop, a gift certificate and we are open to any ideas and suggestions! A recent handful of earrings by me! A lot of pieces come from my demos during workshops which is nice to have to toss together new pieces here and there when I haven't had much time to devote to creating. The leaves are an example of what could be done in the etching workshop!

This is a recently developed new workshop and the few we've done have been super fun. The point of this offering is to come with projects and processes you'd like to hands on learn with an experienced metalsmith rather than the specific project focused on in the other workshop offerings. It is also an opportunity to return after taking one of the other workshops to do more, add on, or just freely create with our tools and space! These are the fully adjustable and customizable wall fixtures available. Notches allow you to mix and match cross bar, double face out bar, and shelf brackets. Two vertical bars $100, other pieces can be negotiated (especially if it’s today 😬) we all have slotted standards 5ft and brackets/glass shelves, ikea glass shelf units, HANGERS, mannequins….check todays stories or drop a dm to inquire.
