When you look at the petals, you can see the light being caught off the faceted beads. These are vintage 3-cut, probably size 10. It’s crazy how one size bead can seem different, but they are slightly bigger than the standard size 11, so I assume it’s due to the age. And I love that they don’t quite feel like the standard size 6, 8, 11, or 15 for seed beads.

My first full beaded flower… probably circa 2012. I took more than 30 pictures of it from all different angles, so this shows real restraint keeping it to 4. I was so happy, and it took off from there. It was a gift for my best friend, but somehow didn’t get delivered to her, and my dad adopted it and put it in his kitchen. Still shinning from his kitchen to today!

My most vibrant bouquet by far! Each flower was unique, and I feel like there were about 8 or 9 different flower types in the arrangement. Lilac, peony, rose, carnation, iris, and more. The beauty of having a custom bouquet is it’s EXACTLY what you want. Never worried about what flowers are in season!

Have you visited my studio space in Grafton? It’s at The Arts Mill on the second floor, among 20 other creative artists. I’m so proud of being able to have this space, and that my beading has grown big enough to have a studio space. Come visit sometime!
