For athletes going to Pontevedra, Spain, for the World Triathlon Championship Finals for Sprint and Aqua Bike, here is the topographical map. In the comments, I have a link to the Google map that you can scroll the Google Street View to see the actual road.
From the official race site course map, I have identified the road you'll be racing on which will be on ROAD 550.
When you look at the topographical map, scroll up to see more of ROAD 550 going north through TILVE, .
You'll be starting at sea level, and the high point of the road looks to be under 200 meters (600 feet). The distance is 40k on a 2 lap course, 10k out, 10k back, and repeat, so an uphill and downhill going out and back twice. Though some hills may be steep but doable with a 50T/34T chainring and 11-34T cassette.
If I can get more specifics on the road, I will let you know.

USA NATIONAL TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS are in Milwaukee today thru Sunday at the lakefront by Discovery World and the Calatrava. Spectating is awesome, so come on down. Race schedule in the link. Emerys Cyclery is really a custom oriented bike shop that is family owned with family values.
As our industry has changed, we have changed over the decades.

Some of our customers have mentioned how extremely busy we are, which sometimes makes for a too busy time, especially when we are doing bike fitting and servicing.

We have great news for our customers!

As of Aug 1, 2026, we will no longer be doing bike fitting on bikes that were not purchased at Emerys.

As of Aug 1, 2026,we will no longer be doing any service on E-bikes not purchased at Emerys.

Both of these decisions have been thought out for a long time, and even run past our crew and dedicated customers. They think the loss of those revenues will be overcome by an increase in our custom and adaptive bike business.

When choosing a bike brand to purchase some stand out better than others. This a great example of what makes Trek Bicycle a great choice. Sure you might find a lower price brand but not this kind of great service!
