Kids Needed!!!!

Its summer break and starting tomorrow on TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS from 3pm until approximately 4pm I will be reading out of books that are for the 3rd to 6th grade range*

(all ages welcome- but this is the pool of books I am picking from.

Think of it like those matinee movies the schools sell tickets to. Come take a break from the heat, enjoy hearing a story and maybe let your kids make some friends!

I will supply some drawing paper and crayons/pencils. Come doodle and listen.

The first book is The Indian in the Cupboard. Originally written in 1980 and later turned into a movie.

Happy Anniversary to us!

Today marks 2 years since I have owned Clackamas Book Exchange (name to be changed to To Be Read in 2026).

There is no "i" in team and so it feels very weird to say that first line. There is NO WAY that the store would still be here and be doing what it is doing without the army of amazing friends and family I have behind me.

I want to give a heartfelt Thank You to my family in alphabetical order: Bo, Bo Mandoe, Courtney, Dawn, Elliott, Jennie, Maria, Marky Mark, Pat, Shannon, and Stephanie.

Literally, we would not be where we are today without your blood, sweat, tears, ideas, encouragement that all of you have contributed.

Also THANK YOU to our many loyal customers without your word of mouth, sharing our story, continued support we would not be able to be the community store that we want to be.
Because of you and your support we have had the most amazing 2 years and I can say with confidence that we will have many more!
