We NEED to get coats on kids before the cold Nebraska weather arrives, and after going through our current stock, we’ve found that we’re missing just a couple of coats in each size to make sure every student is covered.

We’re so close! 🙌

If you’re able to help us fill those gaps with NEW winter coats, we would be incredibly grateful. Every coat means one more child heading out into a cold Nebraska morning warm, comfortable, and ready to take on the day.

Girls: 2T (1), 3T (1) , 5T (1), Youth M(3), Youth Large(7), Youth XL(5), Adult Small(2), Adult Medium(2), Adult Large(1)

NEW Coats can be dropped off at The Closet any time during business hours--Make sure you let our volunteers know they are for the coat drive OR at Lieske, Lieske, & Ensz Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5PM

Hello friends! We can't express our gratitude enough here at The Closet & Food Pantry of Minden when people think of us first as a place to donate their gently used items! We had so many donations come in last week, and over the weekend, that we are over full! This is a great problem to have. However, if you have things you're wanting to get dropped off could you please hold on to them for one more week before bringing them in? Our volunteers will be working so hard this week to get everything we have processed and out on the shelves and hung on racks, and we should be good to accept more donations next week.

With that being said, stop and shop at The Closet! We have so many great things in the store. Especially, whippet gear!!!!

We made it through BACK TO SCHOOL! 🎒📚

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped us make it happen by purchasing the supplies we needed to get 74 backpacks stuffed and ready to go for the 2026–2027 school year! ❤️

We are SO excited to see all those Whippets, Wildcats, and Falcons back at it and enjoying another year of school, sports, activities, and everything in between! 🏐🏃🏃🏽‍♀️⛳🎭🏈📣🎺

And remember… if you need some team gear, we’ve got you covered! Stop and check out our racks for local sports team as well as college teams!

Thank you to these folks for the meat delivery to our pantry!!!!!

Another incredible food delivery from Nolan today! 🥒🥔



Through Sustainable Sustenance, Nolan Lemna and the Nebraska Environmental Trust help connect locally grown and produced food with organizations serving individuals and families facing food insecurity.



Today’s generous delivery included fresh cucumbers, beets, potatoes, organic flour, and locally sourced ground beef totaling 903 lbs.! These items will be shared with communities throughout our service area.



We’re so grateful to Nolan, the Nebraska Environmental Trust, and the local farmers who make this wonderful initiative possible! 💚

You MUST come to Minden to pick up your supplies from 3-6PM at Westminster United Presbyterian Church

If you can't make it, please have a family member or friend stop by to pick up on your behalf, supplies will not be delivered!
