Mount Everest is considered the highest mountain in the world when measuring height above sea level, with an impressive 8,848.86 meters. However, the true giant is Mauna Kea in Hawaii. From its base on the ocean floor to its summit, it measures an astonishing 10,210 meters, surpassing Everest by almost 1,400 meters. Only a portion of Mauna Kea rises above the water's surface, standing 4,207 meters above sea level. Everest remains the tallest mountain on land, but Mauna Kea is the true colossus when considering total height—a hidden giant in the Pacific!

The Sart Aqueduct, located in Belgium, is a remarkable example of modern engineering. Inaugurated in 2002, it allows boats to cross the Thiriau du Sart valley, offering a panoramic view over important roads in the region. With a length of 498 meters and a width of 46 meters, this aqueduct is designed with a water depth of approximately 4 meters, ensuring the continuous navigation of vessels of various sizes.

Built with prestressed concrete, its structure is supported by 28 pillars with a diameter of 3 meters, strategically spaced every 36 meters. In addition to facilitating river transport between the Meuse and Scheldt basins, the aqueduct plays a crucial role in the development of commercial and tourist navigation in the region.

Another highlight is the hydraulic lift, which allows vessels to be raised and lowered, considered a true masterpiece both from a technical and aesthetic perspective. This lift is a clear demonstration of the commitment to efficiency and innovation in maritime transport

The bridge that comes from Sweden turns into a tunnel under the sea and reappears in Denmark; both countries united by this wonderful work of Engineering.
It has a total length of 16 kilometers and connects Denmark with Sweden through the Øresund Strait. The Oresund Bridge was built in 2000 and allows the passage of cars (highway) and trains between Denmark and Sweden. Before its constrction, all traffic between the two countries was carried out by ferry.
