⚡️95th Wisconsin State FFA Convention⚡️

💙 I have had the honor of being apart of my little brothers journey of the blue jacket. As many of you know FFA roots run deep in our family. Ashton is the third Hillebrand to recieving the highest award at the state can bestow. I’m so incredibly proud of his work and love for livestock.

💛Along side many other members I had experienced the highs and the lows of their high school and FFA careers. I am so proud of you! (You have no idea.) Thank you for letting me be apart of your journey Caleb, Rylee, Wyatt, and Morgan.

Two years ago, I retired the blue jacket and found myself in a career in the meat industry. I loved the experience and work with animals but it wasn’t quite as driving, inspiring, and beautiful like a sea of blue jackets at the Alliant Energy Center.

🤍The experiences I have had through the blue jacket, help of many advisors and teachers, and my career experience has led me back to a different role but same place. Teaching and advising FFA at Baraboo High School.

🦉These ladies have truly a bright eye, love for agriculture, and great goals for the upcoming year ahead. I’m looking forward to the excitement of taking on this Fall as my “first” offical year teaching!

As the semester comes to a close, I look back at the moments I tried to capture. From planting, to watering, creating mazes, doing experiments, meeting new pets, to learning life lessons. It doesn’t do justice of how much we do, learn, and share while in class or 4H. 🐰🌻

The little key of the American Degree is a small token signafying the work a member puts into their leadership, community, and Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE - job). 🐖🥩📝

As I unzip my jacket, I unzip thousands of memories competing in events, community service activities, travels, new friendships made, and so much more. As many of you know I love this organization and what it stands for, the future of agriculture. I have full confidence that the 850, 823 members are the greatest future leaders. 🌱

I step to the role as an Alumni of this organization, I will still continue to share the story of Agriculture and encorage every student to join the FFA and reach for the stars. 🌟

The plans you think may be set in stone really never turn out how you wished them to be. But the end goals never change. That is one lesson I’ve learned since I graduated high school.
As many of you know, the meat industry has been a large part of my life and I had chose to accept a position with the Wisconsin State Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection as a State Meat Inspector. In this position, I am in week 4 of 8 weeks of training. I will be inspecting local plants during their daily procedures of producing safe and quality product to consumers. I have learned so much and I am excited for the next months as I continue learning.
I have a passion for sharing my agriculture experiences with hopes to one day share my knowledge in agriculture education someway somehow.
My best advice is to go for something that interests you. Try it out and the worst that can happen is you change your mind.
