🐟 REMEMBER THOSE MYSTERY FISH WE POSTED?! 👀

Mystery solved! 🔎🎉(🤫 We knew the entire time😉😏)
They are Porthole Catfish! 🐟

They’re similar to Hoplo Catfish, but there are some pretty cool differences:

✨ Porthole Catfish don’t get quite as large as Hoplos.
✨ Hoplos are primarily bottom dwellers, while Portholes hang out around the mid-tank and bottom.
✨ Hoplos have a higher bioload, while Portholes are considered low to medium bioload.

And honestly… these guys are REALLY cool! 😍🐟

Swing by the store and check them out for yourself! You might just leave with a new favorite fish. 😉

🐠🚨 OKAY, FISH PEOPLE… THIS ONE IS FOR YOU! 🚨🐠

Want a bigger tank (or a new one) without your wallet immediately filing a complaint? 😂

💥 20 GALLON TANKS — ONLY $20!! 💥

That’s $20 for the tank when you purchase a complete setup — everything else you need to get your aquarium up and running! 🐟🌿🪨

So basically… your fish just got a housing upgrade and you get to feel like an aquarium interior designer. 😂

👀 Come grab one before they’re gone!
Because at $20, we have a feeling these won’t be sitting around long!

🐠💦 While supplies last!

Today, we remember September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸🕊️

We always remember the thousands of people whose lives were lost that day, but let’s also remember the K-9 heroes who were there beside their handlers, working through unimaginable conditions. 🐾❤️

One of those heroes was K-9 Port Authority Sirius, who lost his life in the basement of the South Tower, where he was stationed that morning. He was doing what he was trained to do—serving and protecting until the very end. 🐕‍🦺💔

Today, we pray not only for the families who lost their loved ones, but also for the families, handlers, and coworkers who lost their four-legged partners. And we remember the K-9s who survived and continued to serve despite everything they endured. 🐾🇺🇸

They were heroes, too.
They had paws, not hands.
They had courage, not words.
And they will never be forgotten. ❤️🤍💙

🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Before anyone panics, starts banging on the front door, or attempts to bribe us with snacks…

Tropical Paradise Pet Shop will be CLOSED SEPTEMBER 5th–9th. 😂

Yes, FIVE WHOLE DAYS.

No, we haven’t been abducted by aliens. 👽
No, the animals haven’t staged a coup. 🐀
No, we are not secretly hiding in the back pretending nobody’s home. 🤣

We’re simply stepping away from the store for a few days.

So if your pet needs food, bedding, filters, treats, toys, bugs, or anything else between now and September 9th…

THIS IS YOUR SIGN. 👀

Come see us BEFORE September 5th!

We’ll reopen Thursday, September 10th and resume our regularly scheduled nonsense. 😂🐾

**and yes the fish will still be judging from behind the glass 🤣
