Big news: by popular demand, we're starting a new science fiction and fantasy book club!

Join us on the third Thursday of each month to read and discuss sci fi, fantasy, dystopia, and other speculative fiction.

We're kicking it off on October 15 by discussing The Dispossessed, a classic sci fi novel by Ursula K. Le Guin. Then, in November, we'll discuss The Girl With a Thousand Faces by Sunyi Dean, a Gothic fantasy that has been getting rave reviews as one of the best fantasies released this year.

I'm in Nashville overnight and had to make a pilgrimage to , owned by the one and only Ann Patchett. What a beautiful store!

While I was there, I picked up signed copies of Ann's books as a thank you to our bookselling team for holding down the fort while I have been out of the store during my treatment and recovery. Check out the sweet note we got from Ann!

A personal update from Victoria: after two surgeries for two separate cancers this summer I'm on the road to recovery and am planning to be back on the store more regularly in September. I'm doing great, and all the news is good.

I have so many people to thank:

❤️ Pearl, Zaq, and Marie, our incredible booksellers who held down the fort at the store
❤️ All the friends and customers who participated in our meal train. Eating good food cooked with love gave a lift to our spirits.
❤️ Folks who donated for take out gift cards. These saved us on days when we just didn't have it in us to cook!
❤️ Everyone who dropped off cards, flowers, books, and other treats. They gave me such a lift.
❤️ Absolutely everyone for their patience, prayers, and well wishes.

I'm so grateful for this community. Thank you for being a part of it!
