Hello everybody! I am sorry it has been some time! The fall and winter was rough with very little sleep working Dax through endless ear infections, teething and so forth. I definitely found new limits with sustained sleep deprivation over 13 months. Since last time I did Powderhorn Art Fair I was sewing from 10pm-3am every night for a month, I knew that wasn't possible since I was awake with Dax at those times. As hard as this decision was, I decided to take a pause from Ginger Bean this summer so I could spend more time with my family and not have to sew every weekend. So if you're looking for me at Powderhorn Art Fair this weekend, I am sorry to say I won't be there THIS year selling but I'll probably be there enjoying it all with you! I do still have a good stock of ready to ship items in my Etsy shop if you're looking for gifts ❤️
We sleep trained Daxi and Spring and Summer have been AMAZING! After getting through the sleep slump I feel like we can conquer anything, and we clearly had a year's worth of creative energy to make up for. As you'll see I've been doing a lot of projects with the kids. Lynora requested we paint our garden path rainbow, I converted our sandbox to a dig box, I upcycled glass blocks into lit pavers, we have amazing neighbors that let us help release butterflies, I made the kids a mud kitchen (complete with "dishwasher" tub, we've been enjoying the , I've been building a busy wall for the kids (still adding to it), we found out favorite kid-friendly winery complete with playground and baby goats, we played camping in our backyard, grew a crazy garden, painted all the things, upcycled our trash into planters, and so much more! We even just went to DC last week but I already maxed out my pictures so you'll have to imagine that one 😂
Ginger Bean will start making new designs when the time is right, but for now, make the most of your summer and have fun!!
Love,
Kristen @ Powderhorn Park, Minneapolis
