In the late 1890s, a young chat roamed the streets of Montélimar in search of the perfect bonbons - demander la lune for nougat-extraordinaire. The local confiseries, while exquisite, could not satisfy Mort’s sweet tooth.  After making his way across Europe, through the spice routes of Asia and Africa, he found himself on a schooner bound for the new world.  

Blessed with a palette immaculé, and crates full of the world’s greatest sweets, he traveled across America - selling his wares in his neverending search for the perfect bite.  
 
Eventually this led him to the shores of The Mississippi and the booming industries of Minneapolis. He set up his shop Le Sweet Mort – bringing joy to the hardworking folks of this Midwest metropolis, before disappearing as mysteriously as he had arrived. 

Here inside Corazon we celebrate the Gourmand’s love of sweets; a curation he would have found magnifique.  Mort never found satisfaction in his unending search, but we hope you take pleasure in a moment of sweet bliss.
