Founded in 1997, Boveda is the inventor and patent holder of precision 2-way humidity control. How Boveda works: Boveda is based on the scientific principle that certain salts saturated with water will naturally add or remove humidity as needed to maintain a predetermined relative humidity (RH). Boveda invented and patented the method that makes this scientific principle portable and practical for wood instrument storage and care. Each RH level Boveda has developed (32, 49, 58, 62, 65, 69, 72, 75, 84%) responds to ambient temperature and humidity by adding or removing moisture to maintain the predetermined RH printed on the Boveda. There’s no activation or maintenance required and our various sizes means there’s a Boveda perfect for every wood instrument including guitars, violins, woodwind reeds and more! Boveda is ISO 9001:2015 certified, meets FDA guidelines meaning it is completely food safe and can be stored directly with your product as well as Boveda being manufactured to GMP standards.
