𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. 🤍🐾
we’ve been a little quieter over here the last few days, and this is why.
our sweet Kobe suddenly started having cluster seizures, and within hours, everything else in our world stopped mattering. after multiple vet visits, a terrifying life-threatening fever, a trip to Fargo, and two days in the veterinary hospital, 𝗪𝗘 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗚𝗢𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗕𝗢𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘. 🥹
he’s walking again. he’s eating. he’s recognizing us, finding little pieces of himself again, and slowly starting to feel more like our Kobe.
we still don’t have every answer, and 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. right now, it’s lots of rest, medications, watching him closely, celebrating tiny improvements, and giving his body and brain all the time they need to heal. 🤍
some moments he feels so much like himself, and others remind us just how much his little body went through. 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 and feeling incredibly grateful that we get to do that with him home beside us.
this little business means so much to us, but these last few days reminded us that sometimes life asks you to put everything down and simply 𝗯𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁.
sometimes the universe has a way of bringing everything into focus. reminding us that 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁, and even in the scariest moments, there is still so much to be grateful for. 🤍
and maybe this is your little reminder too: 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀. slow down when you can. soak up the ordinary moments. they’re usually the ones that mean the most. 🤍🐾
