Flowers After Dark was always meant to feel like an experience.

Think dark drapery, candlelight, moody lighting, seasonal details, sweet treats, a spooky non-alcoholic drink, a bloom bar, a creation station, and an evening spent playing with flowers while the sun disappears outside.

Each guest will create their own 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘆 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗼 using three bud vases and a curated selection of fresh florals, textures, and greenery.

No floral experience required.
No rigid recipe.
Just a little guidance, a whole lot of flowers, and room to create something that feels entirely yours.

𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗗 𝗠𝗘 𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬. 🥹🌿

The 21st was World Gratitude Day, but I’m grateful for this community every single day.

Today, you stopped in, bought flowers, trusted me with custom pieces, grabbed something just because, and helped send almost everything in the shop out the door.

By the end of the day, the cooler was nearly empty.

And that means more to me than just having a good sales day.

It means these flowers are going home with people. They’re becoming part of birthdays, homecoming, hard days, ordinary days, military moments, and “I saw this and thought of you” days.

It means this little shop is becoming part of people’s lives.

That is something I will never take for granted.

Thank you for showing up, trusting my creativity, sharing my work, bringing me your weird ideas, and letting Proof & Petals keep becoming more of what I hoped it could be.

I’m open today from 𝟭𝟭 𝗔𝗠–𝟰 𝗣𝗠, and I have just a small handful of fresh arrangements left in the shop.

𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥: Proof & Petals will be 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬 + 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 while I’m out of town for an appointment.

After that, next week begins my 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 + 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲. If you haven’t seen the update yet, check the pinned post at the top of the page for all the details.

Yesterday was the first official day of fall, the weather is getting darker and moodier, and sometimes you really don’t need a reason for flowers.

Maybe you missed Wife Appreciation Day this past Sunday. 👀

We treat ourselves to coffee, candy, baked things, little seasonal goodies, and all the other tiny things that make life feel better. Flowers get to be one of those things too.

They may not last forever, but for a little while they bring color, beauty, joy, and life into a room during a season that can start feeling pretty gray.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Kathryn and Amanda yesterday. They stopped in for the first time, got to see what Proof & Petals is all about, and left holding flowers with the biggest smiles. 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲. 🥹

Proof & Petals is a veteran-owned + woman-owned floral studio located inside the Minot AFB Exchange, specializing in custom fresh and faux florals, weddings, events, memberships, workshops, and the occasional beautifully unhinged idea you bring me.

Whether you’re celebrating something big, sending flowers just because, planning a wedding, or showing me an inspiration photo and asking, “Can you make something like this?” you’re in the right place.

Here’s what to know before ordering:

𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗜𝗢 + 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗧 𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗥𝗦

Beginning in October:

Monday through Wednesday | 11 AM–4 PM
Thursday + Friday | By appointment, scheduled pickup, events, workshops & studio availability

You may still catch me in the shop on Thursdays and Fridays! Those days are intentionally flexible so I can accommodate custom orders, weddings, floral processing, sourcing, workshops, consultations, events, and all of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the flowers flowing.

Because weddings and events occasionally take me away from the shop, weekly schedule changes and closures will always be posted here.

𝗪𝗔𝗟𝗞-𝗜𝗡𝗦 + 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗕 & 𝗚𝗢

During regular storefront hours, stop in and see what’s blooming.

When available, the shop may be stocked with wrapped bouquets, petite grab-and-go florals, vase arrangements, and seasonal pieces. Quantities vary because I purchase intentionally and work heavily through custom orders rather than maintaining large amounts of excess inventory.

𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘𝗦

Sometimes I get my hands on something too beautiful, weird, seasonal, or limited to pass up.

Tiny Releases are exactly what they sound like: very small, one-time drops of flowers or designs created with whatever has inspired me that week. No full collection, no restock promise, and sometimes only a handful are available.

They’ll be announced here when they happen. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. 🖤

𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗠 𝗢𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦

This is where Proof & Petals really shines.

Birthdays, anniversaries, sympathy flowers, statement pieces, military ceremonies, completely unconventional concepts, and everything in between are welcome.

Advance notice gives me the greatest flexibility for specialty flowers and sourcing, but last-minute requests are always worth asking about. If I can make it happen, I will.

Proof & Petals offers fresh, faux, and mixed-medium floral design for weddings, memorials, military ceremonies, corporate events, celebrations, and other special occasions.

Wedding and event consultations are available by appointment.

𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗠𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣𝗦

My floral memberships provide recurring, designer-created flowers throughout the season. Enrollment opens only a few times each year and closes once I reach capacity so I can keep each membership intentional and personal.

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗦 + 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

Bloom bars, floral workshops, seasonal collections, and other limited offerings are announced here throughout the year.

Some things are planned well in advance.

Some things happen because I found flowers I couldn’t leave with the wholesaler. 😂

Invoices must be paid before orders are completed or delivered. Larger custom designs, weddings, events, and memberships may require a deposit or scheduled payments to reserve dates and begin sourcing.

Pickup is available at the Minot AFB Base Exchange during coordinated hours.

Local delivery is also available throughout Minot and Minot AFB.

And I am absolutely encouraging it.

𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗜 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠? 💀🌸

A little throwback to the original Proof & Petals fall collection. Every piece was one-of-a-kind, and every single one found a home.

And apparently I wasn’t quite done with it. 👀

I found THREE skull vases tucked away from last year, which means I have just enough for one very tiny spooky-season release.

𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗦𝗞𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗦. 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦. 𝗡𝗢 𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗦.

Fresh? Faux? Maybe a little of both? Each would be completely one-of-a-kind, just like the originals.

𝗧𝗟;𝗗𝗥: Proof & Petals will be open 11ish–4 today, pending an 11:00 meeting here at the BX. 💜

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆.

It also happens to be the anniversary of losing my soul dog, Ranger. There’s something strangely fitting about that.

Ranger was beside me through a completely different version of my life. Long before Proof & Petals, the flowers, and so much of the life I know now. 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗺𝗲. But I’m incredibly grateful I got to have him beside me for the part that I did.

And today feels like a good day to look around at everything that came after.

𝗜’𝗺 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀. For being my family, my home, and having a front-row seat to this crazy adventure of a life.

𝗜’𝗺 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝘆𝘀. For muddy paws, dog walks, and making a house feel like home.

𝗜’𝗺 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀. For coffee, walks, conversations, laughter, showing up, and ordinary moments that mean more than they probably realize.

I’m grateful for sunsets. Peach cobbler. Bees on flowers. The tiny things I’m learning to notice instead of constantly racing toward whatever comes next.

And, of course, 𝗜’𝗺 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 & 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀.

For every person who has trusted me with a wedding, anniversary, birthday, goodbye, apology, just-because, or simply let me make something beautiful for them.

This little business has challenged me, exhausted me, surprised me, and taken me places I never imagined when I started playing with flowers.

𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗜’𝗺 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.

It’s messy. It’s weird. It certainly hasn’t gone according to plan.

But there is so, so much of it that I love.
